Two Giant Linux distribution to release new versions for the desktop users

As we know Linux Distribution Fedora (from Red Hat family) and Ubuntu (from Debin family) are being widely adapted by lots of Desktop and Server users. Ubuntu became very popular in Desktop users and Fedora to both Server and Desktop users. Both distributions became popular because of their ease of use and functionality. Very soon Ubuntu’s new final version 8.04 (AKA Hardy Heron) and Fedora’s new final version 9 will be released.

Let’s take a look into the new features of both of these new releases:

Ubuntu 8.04 New Features Fedora 9 New Features
Linux kernel 2.6.24 World Clock Applet (display the time and weather in multiple locations)
GNOME 2.22 Some new Bluetooth enhancements

I must mention one thing, that the above feature list is not a product comparison. The products did not arrive to compare. It’s just a promotional feature list given on the manufacturer’s website.
