How to make a Favicon?

Hi I would like to know how to go about making my own Favicon for my website.

I have a graphic that I would like to use and would like to either use some type of creator or generator to make the Favicon or some type of Favicon making software so that I can create the Favicon and have it publish the favicon.ico file.

There are two ways in which you can go about creating your own favicon ico file on the web.

1. You can draw your favicon using an icon design software such as the provided at
http://www.favicon.cc/

2. You can use a pre-exisiting graphic and have that converted into your favicon ico file using an online generator such as the one provided by at
http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/
