Hi a colleague of mine said I should create a Facebook business page to help promote my website but I can't figure out how to do it. You would think creating a business page would be something simple. Can someone please let me know the steps I need to take to create my Facebook business page or fan page whichever it is called?

It's a lot simpler than it appears although you would think once logged into your account that Facebook would make it a bit more obvious an option. To create your own Facebook business page visit the following link:

From there most if not all the options are pretty simple to go through. If you will be adding a feed to update your Facebook page then do the following steps:
Once logged into your new account (your business facebbok a/c) click on the "edit page" link under your logo area.
Once on this page go down to the Notes section and click on the pencil graphic to the right of it and choose edit. Now you will be on your Facebook page's NOtes page and you will see to the right a link under the Notes Settings box that says "Import a blog".
I'm not sure why they didnt just say import feed content or something like that but anyways click on the "Import a blog" link. Here you are able to enter the url to your blog feed, website feed or any feed that you want to appear on your Facebook page. Check the checkbox and click "Start Importing".
Facebook will then grab the content from your feed and show you a preview for you to confirm that everything is looking the way it should be before you finalize it. Once you review it then click the blue button to the right "Confirm Import" and your Facebook page will now feature the content from your feed.
Facebook will check your feed several times throughout the day for updates and will update your page if updates are found.
