Fatal error: Call to undefined function domxml_open_mem() in...?

I have been using a script that calls the domxml_open_mem() for a few months on my old server. I recently moved to a new server with the only difference being that I upgraded from PHP 4 to PHP 5. Is anyone familiar with this error and what can I do to get my script working again.
