Best PC laptop for running Adobe Photoshop CS4?

Hi I am looking around for a new laptop that I will need to become my main work laptop where I will be doing a lot of Photoshop work. I am looking for a PC laptop (not ready for MAC just yet) and would like to ensure that I will be able to run Adobe CS4 and possibly Illustrator without any hangups due to limited memory, processor speed etc.

Can you please recommend, in your opinion, what you feel would be the best laptop to handle this for under $1,500?

Thanks.

Hello,
While I won't say what would be the best laptop to use for Photoshop CS4 what I will let you know are the system requirements for Photoshop CS4. Choosing a laptop goes above and beyond these requirements should have you running Photoshop with limited snags.

* 1.8GHz or faster processor

* Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 (Service Pack 3 recommended) or Windows Vista® Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise with Service Pack 1 (certified for 32-bit Windows XP and 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista)

* 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)

* 1GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on flash-based storage devices)

* 1,024x768 display (1,280x800 recommended) with 16-bit video card

* Some GPU-accelerated features require graphics support for Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0

* DVD-ROM drive

* QuickTime 7.2 software required for multimedia features

* Broadband Internet connection required for online services

Besides having a laptop that is more powerful than the system requirements you should also take care not to add unnecessary programs or files to the laptop as these will aid in slowing down your performance.

Vader.
