Google Analytics annotations not available in my account?

My Google Analytics account isn't giving me an option to be able to record annotations. A colleague of mine has this showing in his Analytics account but I cant find an option to toggle annotations on or off in my account. How can I enable this so I can better monitor the effects of my marketing efforts on my website's traffic?

Hi KapnG,
Google Analytics Annotations is not a feature that you can toggle on or off. They have, as you noted, already began rolling out this new feature but as with many new things from Google they roll it out in a somewhat phased approach. I have it on a few of my accounts and not on others so I can see this in action. I'm sure within the next few days/weeks you should see it appear in your reports and then can have your go at using it.

I personally find it to be a great addition to Analytics as I have been using one of the tools on DeveloperTutorials for a similar type of tracking and reference but having it in my Analytics account makes it much more useful for my purposes.

You can read more about Annotations and its roll out via the link I have provided below.
