How do I add tags and categories to my post on the homepage in Wordpress?

Look at my website (under construction) www.thecolorcurve.com/blog. Look at the 'Where are all the Good Men? (Part One)' on the LEFT SUB PAGE. Underneath, the meta data is smooth, saying who it was by, and then offering tags and categories at the end of my excerpt. I want that to be consistent with the posts on my page (in the middle) where I do not get that info. I desperately want that info to match up with the widget that gave me meta data like the one showing the tags and categories on the front home page.

How can I change the default info (icons, meta data) on my wordpress change to reflect whats in the widgets?
I hope you know what I'm talking about.
