Fully Loaded Item Display

When visitors browse an advertised item, they're a single click away from complete, categorized groups of information. The following information is directly accessible, depending on that the viewer clicks on:

1. the item's photos, always visible regardless of the info section being viewed, are all grouped into one area of the page. Each photo can be previewed by moving the mouse over the photo array number. As the mouse hovers over a number, a caption, if available, appears, which describes the photo. Clicking on the photo number opens a new window, displaying the image in it's original size.


2. the price of the item is shown directly underneath the photos. If the currency is in anything other than US$, hovering the mouse over the price displays the converted price in US$... clicking the price button displays the exchange ratio between the two currencies. Your visitors will always be able to comprehend the value of an item, either in its default currency or its US$ equivalent.


3. if the seller of the item has offered an instant payment option, a payment button appears alongside the price button. Payment is always calculated in US$ equivalents so that there are never any headaches with aligning your default currency with the US$ value expected from most credit card gateways.


4. item details such as general information, features, additional comments, are shown in the exact order you prefer.


5. contact information, along with either a direct email link or a message form, is displayed in neat order.


6. if the seller has included a personal bio, the viewer can read it directly within the advertised item page.


7. if the item has a price, a loan or mortgage calculator is available to quickly estimate the cost of financing a purchase


8. every item includes a link to a new page, optimized for printing. All necessary information, including all photos associated with the item, is included.

You will not find a competing product that displays as much item information than does Chameleon!

Dynamic, Content-rich Staff Listings

Any account on your system that is labeled as a staff account can automatically be included in a dynamic contact listing so that your visitors have quick and ready access to all the information they require, including an email form and a brief account profile (bio), which adds a personal touch for your visitors.


The staff list is accessed from Chameleon's start page. The administrator never needs to manage or edit this page since the content is dynamically generated, based on account settings.

Multiple, Dynamic Search Options

Your search form is a direct reflection of how you configure the Forms Genie. For your staff and clients, posting items is a breeze. For your visitors, it's equally as simple. You decide what can be searchable, you add informational content if necessary, and the search form automatically updates itself to your wishes, including the access to multiple department searches if applicable! Each department will produce its own unique, point-and-click search screen.


If available, Spotlight (featured) items automatically appear in the search bar before the user submits any criteria. Spotlight items vary depending on the department being accessed. It's a fantastic way to promote the products and services that you most want to!

New Item Notifications

Give your visitors reasons to visit your site often! When they sign up for new item notifications, they'll automatically receive email notice of new advertisements that meet their keyword criteria. A direct link to the item is provided in the email, and the displayed link includes another link (not otherwise visible when viewing item displays from search results lists) which guides them to Chameleon's homepage! Of course, Chameleon behaves in ethical fashion by offering visitors a simple cancelation of their new item notification services at any time!

Administration Control Panel

Admin functions are vast and fully contained in multiple control panels.


Virtually any function can be enabled or disabled, any data can be created, manipulated, or deleted, colors can be edited, from control panels... there is no need to manually open any configuration files to edit them... even the language file can be modified through the editor control panel!

Intelligent Help System

Instead of making you seek out, from one large page, specific information on a feature you need assistance with, Chameleon's help system shows you information based on the function you've currently accessed, resulting in a much more pleasant, informative, and less obtrusive user experience than what other software packages offer. Theme Creator

If no built-in theme meets your taste requirements, the Theme Creator quickly allows you to construct and save your very own color theme with any combination of colors! Whether you need a 'corporate' style theme or just want something a little more 'artsy' the Theme Creator will satisfy!

Photo Uploader

You can specify how many photos may be attached for each advertised item. Your users will easily be able to upload and manage their images through a photo control panel that makes itself available for every item, automatically associating images with the appropriate item. Dual PayGate

Chameleon enables time-subscriptions and/or item payments directly online, through the services of PayPal.


There is almost nothing to configure within Chameleon to enable collecting payments via PayPal (as long as you have a PayPal account to set up with it). The PayGate system can be configured to charge users for posting items over a specified amount of time, and it can additionally be set up to accept payment for items, whether using the system's default Paypal account or allowing individual users to collect payment. It all depends on the type of service you intend to operate, nevertheless, Chameleon makes it all a wonderfully painless experience!

Quick, Easy Time-Subscriptions

If enabled by the administrator, users will have easy access to a payment window when necessary. Once payment is accepted, the user will have instant time-based allowance to post advertisements on your system!
