Auction Features

Graphical User Interface
-Powerful administration interface that gives the admin complete control over all aspects of the site with ease.

-Displays various GeoAuctions Stats on front page of admin.

-Unique data fields connected to each category. This allows you to connect as many of your own data fields to categories and their child categories as you like. Child categories inherit data field questions from their parents making management easier.

-Each main category (category with no parent category above them) can have its own category specific look and genre. Completely change the look of each category page or just the header area…complete flexibility.

-Create a distinct design for every page of the site if you like, or use one default design to be used on every page. It can be as complex or simple as you would like, just as an Enterprise level piece of software should be.

-Optionally show the total number of auctions in brackets for each category and each subcategory.

-Special "logged in/logged out" modules which allow you to display one set of html design when the user is logged in and another set of html when the user is logged out. One use could be to show one navigation bar before they log in and another with different buttons after they log in.

-Category tree is optionally displayed at the top and/or bottom of each page that indicates the user's current location and allows the user to quick jump between the category hierarchy.

-Search results pages generate quick links to other results pages when the number of auctions exceed the max number the admin designates to be shown on any given page.

-"Back to" buttons displayed on various pages such as "edit auction" and "place auction" pages.

-User can show a "SOLD" sign next to their auction after it sells. This helps you, as the admin, to market your site by showing that your current customers are selling their items from using your site.

-"Tell-a-friend" button on each auction display page allows visitors to fill out a form to send to their friends that they know may be interested in that auction.

-Insert your "User Agreement" text in the admin, which will display on the registration page. This forces users to click "I agree" before registration will be completed.

-Help buttons are located throughout the program to assist users in making decisions or to better explain a certain function.

Customization
-HTML template-based program allows for a truly customizable appearance for each page of the site. Take a look at our current Enterprise Version customers to see its versatility.

-Categories and subcategories pages can have their own unique appearance. For example, you may want to change up the header of the "automobiles" category to show a collage of vehicles, but then show collage of electric devices in the header of the "electronics" category.

-Complete variable control over the auction display page to include fonts, colors, and fields. Place fields wherever you want them on the page.

-Add as many extra questions as you would like to the auction display page including blank text boxes, custom checkboxes and custom dropdown boxes. Optionally give the seller an "other" box to fill in if none of your dropdown values meet their criteria.

-Checkboxes save the seller time when placing their auction. They allow the seller to display certain features of their item very neatly and cleanly within the body of the auction. For example, in the automobiles category you can list typical auto features such as "automatic transmission", "cd player", etc. The seller clicks the radio button and that feature is automatically assigned to their auction…no typing!

-Complete variable control over all site text and backgrounds including text colors, fonts (including bold, italic, etc.), background colors.

-Can replace GeoAuctions standard buttons with your own buttons.

-Over 50 modules included that can be placed anywhere throughout your site to display different sets of data or perform distinct functions.

-Ability to display featured picture auctions, where only a thumbnail of the auction, and an optional display of price and title are shown. Picture auctions can be displayed in as many columns and rows as desired.

-Ability for the user to sort columns while browsing. For example, the user can sort by Title, Price, etc. Also, each Site Wide Field (unique fields you enter) can be displayed in browsing results tables and they too become sortable!

-Set the number of category browsing columns to be different than on subcategory pages. For example on the front page display 2 columns of categories. Then on the subcategories pages display 3 columns of subcategories.

-Designate the page displayed after a user logs in - "user management home" or "site home".

-Ability to display the current user's first and/or last name, email or username in an effort to personalize any page.

-Display auctions placed in the last 24 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks.

Fee-Based Features
-Admin can enter as many price plans and user groups as they desire.

-Offer free listings, fee-based listings, or registration based listings.

-Admin can optionally accept payment for auction placements by Cash, Check, Paypal, WorldPay, Credit Card (Authorize.net), 2checkout, Bital, Linkpoint, or Money Order.

-Optionally charge users for posting auctions.

-Optionally charge users for renewing their auctions.

-Optionally give "credits" to users upon registration, which allow for free auction placements. You can manually assign "credits" to users at a later time for referring others to your site, or as a special promotion, etc.

-Optionally allow credits to be used for auction renewals.

-Optionally place cash, check, or money order paying auction renewals on hold until payment is received.

-Limit the max number of auctions a seller can have at any given time.

-Optionally charge sellers extra for having their auctions ranked better.

-Optionally charge sellers extra for being a featured auction.

-Optionally charge sellers extra for bolding their auction. This feature allows you to also change the font color and background to really make these auctions stand out.

-Optionally charge sellers extra for each picture they upload.

-Charge sellers based on the length of time they want to display their auction.

-Charge sellers based on price field of the auction.

-Charge users extra for using an "attention getter". You can use the default GeoAuctions attention getters or add your own.

-Limit the number of characters used in the Auction Title and the Auction Description.

-Limit the number of pictures that the seller can upload.

-Ability to attach Discount Codes to Groups so that users can enter specific codes to get discounts when they place auctions.

-Ability to charge users for placing auctions in various levels of featured auctions.
