Communitymailer
Communitymailer is Unix compatible. The software is built to be flexible, and gives you the option of how you want to run your mailing list. As the administrator, you can decide whether or not you want users to be able to join up automatically, or whether you want to generate a password for them to subscribe and send it to them via email.
