If you offer media files on your site, such as RealMedia (Audio/Video) or mp3-files, you will probably have noticed that you have to create .ram-files or something similar. These .ram-files are kind of a "wrapper" for the real file. They are downloaded by the browser and given over to the player who then starts downloading and playing the real file.
