Zöetrope is a multi-platform compatible script similar to those 8-frame paper strips found in most Childrens' Museums, which you then put into a rotating drum with slits, spin the drum, and the frames become animated through the slits. Some canned animations are provided in a pull-down list, and a slider to adjust the speed. Many usage notes on the web page.
