		<description>This is a nice tip so thank you.  I do have a question however.  This would work for a staging environment but not for a production environment.  Would renaming the files back to .htaccess and commenting out that line in the core.php put things exactly as they were?

I ask because I am not sure if cake caches the urls etc.  It would be slick if we could revert by renaming the files back though.

I think Zend should do something about this since they also use the same &quot;pretty urls&quot; in their Zend Framework and debugging with that seems to work fine.
