Until recently only a very limited set of specific function devices were network connected or connectable. Today, an exponentially increasing number of unique devices are network attached and addressable. Whether these devices are slot machines, point-of-sale devices, robotics, security cameras or HVAC controls, they now can be viewed from the network for several purposes:
  • Support/protect existing and new revenue streams
  • Improve productivity by moving capabilities closer to end users
  • Improve availability and reduce support costs through remote management
  • Provide better information for future decision making
